meet  the coach

Hey everyone! I'm Brie, an RRCA certified run coach and founder of Xtra Mile Lifestyle.

My running career began in 2013 when I signed up for my 1st marathon, having very little running experience and having only ever run one 7k race. Thanks to great coaching and a lot of help, I finished my first marathon better and stronger than I ever dreamed!  I have since run 13 more marathons and countless other races, worked harder than I knew I was even capable of, and have fallen completely in love with this sport and all it can bring into your life.


I started Xtra Mile LIfestyle as a way to share my passion for running by helping others to realize their dreams and reach their full potential. I hope you will give me the opportunity to help you reach yours!

"I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have towards Coach Brie. I have ran 5 marathons and have been coached through other training programs but have never experienced the type of hands on approach that she offered. She was thorough, honest, encouraging and provided a sense of confidence in my ability that I never had. She believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. During 12 weeks of training, I dropped almost 20 minutes off my best marathon (of less than a year ago), and qualified for the Boston Marathon. 10 weeks later, I re-qualified and dropped another 7 min!  She knew what it took to BQ and customized a training that would provide the results.

It was personalized for my goals of gaining speed and endurance for my marathon! She was available anytime I needed extra support- was dedicated, supportive and knowledgeable!  In 12 weeks I was able to grow as a runner in my confidence level, my speed, as well as my endurance. I completed my 4th marathon beating my last 2 previous marathon times by over 7 mins!

She has helped me to achieve goals I cou;dnt have even dreamed of hitting a few years ago, including 3 PR's and 1st place in my age group for the "Looney Challenge" at the Medtronic Twin Cities race this fall.
